I love that you can just throw everything in all together and voila! Then I just toll into balls, because flouring my countertop and using cookie cutters is just too much work for us busy women! Great when recipe is doubled too. Just roll some extra balls and freeze for a rainy day!
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 t. cream of tartar
1/2 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
1 c. butter (softened)
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 egg
1 t. vanilla
Mix all ingredients together, roll into balls and bake at 375 for 8 minutes.
